Open Monuments Day

Event
This year's Open Monuments Day is dedicated to Art & Entertainment. A dream theme, because in every one of our houses there was ever dancing, singing, performing and entertaining. On Sunday 8 September we will serve music at four locations.

St. Peter's Abbey, St. Bavo's Abbey, Hotel d'Hane Steenhuyse

St. Peter's Abbey 

Sint-Pietersplein 9, 9000 Gent

  • 11 a.m. - hiphop workshop for children up to 12 years old.
    2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. - Jamcentrum presents a 20-minute mix of contemporary dance, hip hop and clip dance. The choreo's are performed by dancers between 10 and 21 years old.

Castle of the Counts

Curtis Alto brothers, Mathias and David, perform live electronic music in the Castle of the Counts during Open Monuments Day. They are building a musical laboratory with percussion, synths, their voices and voice transformers.
