Exhibition Countryfolk is the candid account of one man’s blissfully slow, 2,000-kilometre journey through the countryside in all seasons, driving an old tractor and towing a recording studio. The journey took photojournalist Jelle Vermeersch all over Belgium: to the Westhoek, the Borinage, the Ardennes, Limburg and back to Ghent via the polders and the Dutch province of Zeeland to… Sphinx Cinema!
In addition to this road movie in slow motion Countryfolk in St. Peter's Abbey, we present a 'real' film programme in Sphinx cinema about 'outdoor people': adventurous films that take place in the countryside in Belgium and beyond.
Your film ticket gives you a €5 discount on the exhibition (using a voucher)!
