Individual visits
You can simply wander in every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between 2.00 and 6.00 p.m. The houses exude the atmosphere of the ‘Ancien Régime’. In Hotel D’Hane Steenhuyse, you are greeted by the sounds of dance music and horses and carriages. You soon lose all track of time and imagine yourself visiting the count and countess.
In the Arnold Vander Haeghen House, you will find one of the best-preserved authentic Chinese salons, a dining room in belle époque style and a reconstruction of the study of Nobel Prize winner, Maurice Maeterlinck.
